I'm quite happy to know that Agnitum is offering Outpost Firewall to end-users. I hope Agnitum will never partner with IAC/Ask.com. Many of us do not want a security software vendor to insert any Ask search assistant or any toolbar in the installer. We remove and stop recommending security software that have toolbar or search assistant by Ask. More than 70% of people do not want Ask.com Search or any toolbar in the installer. Whether freeware or paid edition. A security software vendor should focus on clean installer all the time by not adding any third party on its eula, in installer.
I hope Agnitum will not follow the steps done by ZoneLabs, Symantec, Webroot, Comodo, BitDefender and StopZilla. They are no longer recommended in many security forums.
Sunbelt Software, WinPatrol.com, Online Armor Firewall are great security software vendors also who said "No" to Ask.com Toolbar or Ask Search Assistant because they understand that people want a security software instead of misleading freeware products with $toolbar.
Thanks for releasing Free Outpost and again, please don't ever associate your good name to IAC!
