I'm still wondering why Outpost has no automatic update and install mechanism for these product updates yet. :-/

Frank, it has! Since version 6.7.3. We wrote about it earlier:

@Goryakin,
Why does my Outpost version is still 7.0.0?
I'm clicking on update, it does download new database, but still it doesn't upgrade the engine...

Am I doing something wrong?

To Jack:

the antivirus engine gets auto-updated when such an update becomes available. As for version update - yes, you'll have to download the new version and install it over the existing product.

Thanks for the fast replay!

Are you planing to include a fully automatic update of the product? This would help the users be up to date! It's hard to focus on keeping programs updated!

Greetings,
Jack

The version 7.0.0 bring me a BSOD when system were starting.
Does this updated version (7.0.1) solve that problem ?

Agnitum BLOG said...

To Randalius:

I'm afraid it's difficult to identify what exactly caused the BSOD without ample technical data.

Please, address our Support Service at http://www.agnitum.com/support/contact.php.

They'll advise you how to solve the problem.
