Holiday Season will bring along Outpost 7.5.2

For the last few weeks Outpost 7.5.2 has been under internal testing. Finally we are thrilled to share that the release is coming in December, around Holiday Season. We know how important for you is to be protected against the threats of 2012, so it's coming!

Outpost 7.5.2 will bring a number of significant enhancements including complete Unicode support and improved detection for packed executables!

Outpost is now available in Dutch

Outpost security solutions speak more and more languages for all of our dear customers. With the help of our partner in Netherlands, Outpost 7.5 is now available in Dutch.

Autumn geography from Outpost

This fall has already brought us huge sales for Outpost Network Security, Agnitum's corporate security product. Among them are from Hungary (license for 800 PCs) and Iran (license for 256 PCs – OPEC countries seem to like magic powers of 2 :) ).

We've also tracked sales from small countries. As we see, people from micro-America (St. Pierre and Miquelon) , micro-Europe (Malta and Luxembourg ), Caribbean Countries (Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, Cayman Islands) like Outpost a lot.

Despite economic and political crisis in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, people from these countries worry about their PCs security and buy Outpost.

We've also noticed a purchase from Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands in the English Channel.

Outpost is spreading around the world taking care for PC security against all types of the threats. And we are getting ready for the next geography lesson. :)

Outpost Pro 7.5 Edition proved its Performance

As you could see from the previous blog post, Outpost Security Suite Pro received its ninth VB100 certification for continuing reliability in threat detection and prevention.

But do you know that it is also one of the Top 4 security products with the greatest scanning performance? According to the Virus Bulletin report, Outpost’s scanning speed on a repeated scan for archives, binaries and system files was faster than 40 of the 44 competing products.

Outpost Security Suite Pro has also demonstrated lower CPU usage compared with other Windows Server 2003 compatible products, including those from Avast, AVG, Comodo (both Antivirus and Internet Security products), F-Secure, G Data, GFI (VIPRE), Quick Heal, and Sophos.

Outpost's 9 VB100 certificates in a row

Virus Bulletin magazine has issued the report with VB100 October certification results - now for 44 products running on Windows Server 2003 R2. It was the 4th  VB100 test for Outpost's Anti-malware on the Server 2003 R2, but only the 1st test for Outpost 7.5 - Performance Edition.

Outpost Security Suite Pro (with its current version 7.5.1) has achieved 100% detection on the Wild-List and Polymorphic viruses collections.

As you know, VB100 award is given when the product has no false positives shown on the clean set with about 500,000 clean files weighting around 140 Gb. Outpost's Anti-Malware engine in 7.5.1 version haven't done any mistakes.

As the result, 33 out of 44 products were certified this time, not including Comodo's Antivirus, Emsisoft Anti-Malware, Comodo and Rising Internet Security. Check the full table >>
