Upgrading from 7.5.1 -> 7.5.2 RC, unchecked the Anti-Spyware component. Rebooted and Outpost shows that the Anti-Spyware component is installed.

How long until this is fixed? Been reporting it for quite a while now and was told it was fixed with 7.5.2. It only happens with updating. It does not occur with a clean install.

This has been an issue since June 22nd, 2011. I had also submitted a ticket on this issue and was told it would be fixed.

Per your Facebook:
Agnitum - Outpost Free This known issue will be fixed in 7.5.2, sorry for that.

7.5.2 RC is here and it's still not fixed. I wonder if the OpenGL lockup issue is fixed. I'll have to check that too after I do a clean install since doing an update/upgrade install still installs the Anti-Spyware despite unchecking it.

Will Outpost Security Suite 7.1 free update too

Dear Tarun, if you had anti-spyware installed, you will still have it after instllation over existed version. There is no option to uninstall existing ASW if you haven't made full product deinstallation. Please be so kind and make full uninstallation before applying new configuration to the newer installation. Thanks

All commentators: please do not hesitate to contact our Support Team via http://www.agnitum.com/support/contact.php

Contact your Support Team?!
You guys are never replying anyway...
Your support team really needs improvements.
You can't even check your support ticket, because you don't have one!
Just send the mail and pray for an answer.

agnitum said...

Dear Rotem, you should choose "Custom preset" in prompt window and clean up the details from the rule. Please contact support for help in creating safe network access rule.

Dear Anonymous, could you be so kind to indicate the date, time (with time zone) and subject of your requests? (If your name will be given, Support Team will be happy to reply)

Maybe your anti-spam (you could not know, but it is present at server) mistakenly bans our emails in reply? Every single email should receive auto-reply with ticket # in the subject.

agnitum said...

To be correct: giving us your name here, you will minimize the time to find your request (and answers to you, if they took place) in support team mail boxes.

OLE, DNS is still no protection for Windows x64 ... Any plans to strengthen the protection for the future?

agnitum said...

To protect some OLE interactions types on 64-bit platforms it is required to "crack" the Windows PatchGuard Protection. That is why we "cannot protect" some of them.

Online Armor, Comodo somehow solves this problem and can easily pass the tests. In that case, there is every hope to solve this problem?

agnitum said...

If you mean Matousec.com tests, you may remember their verdict on Online Armor's test results on 32-bit.

Great job outpost. Now I do not want to sound that I'm rushing you guys; but could you tell us what's in store for OSS 8.00.

Thanks. :-)
