Outpost Pro Security 7.5.2 and Windows 8 Consumer Preview

Microsoft, the producer of Windows OS, is about to release tomorrow, on February 29, an official beta for their latest OS version – Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

This edition of the top world-wide OS brand was tested in Agnitum starting from its Developer Preview edition availability - to ensure Outpost security products are compatible with Windows 8 (for sure, in W8 desktop mode).

As you can see below, our Outpost Firewall, Antivirus and Security Suite Pro (version 7.5.2) are already in beta compatibility with 32-bit «W8» system - see the screenshot:
For 64-bit Windows 8 compatibility is the question of the further Outpost versions.

PS: Should we call the W8-compatible Outpost version 7.8?

No, when all versions of OP are compatible 32 and 64 bit then release it as version 8.

You can add a few more features too ;)

[Nice work by the way]

Thank you Manny!

Let's see if we'll be in time with W8 release to include all features planned for Outpost 8.0 release! ;)

you can call it whatever you want.

who's to stop you ? you could even call it Outpost 16.3 if you just want to.

Dear commentator,

We pretend to be logical, that is why we are asking whether you find this consequence to be fine.

For example, version 7.5.2 could be named 7.7. since it was released 7 months after 7.5 release...

But for 6.7 and 7.0 described above - it was the real case.

That is not recommended to use the W8 Outpost x64?

We cannot guarantee smooth installation and stable work for _released_ Outpost x64 versions at W8 x64.

Internal betas are not taken into account.

if outpost 8 will work on windows 8 and windows 8 will work ( as I understand ) on any device ( desktop , laptop , tablet , smartphone ) this means that outpost 8 will work for example on a smartphone with windows 8 ?
Thank you .
PS. :
at least tell me why this comment was not accepted either before or now because i don't understand .

Currently we do not plan to make our PC products available in "Metro" interface style - meaning that we do not need to develop Windows Phone 8 supporting product which should be significantly different from Outpost Security Suite Pro (or even new one).

PS: Our comments are hidden before we check them and publish them to stop spam bots (they post 10 times more than normal readers).

Even Windows Defender doesn't have a Metro Interface... Having Outpost in desktop mode is more than sufficient for Windows 8 :)

One question though, is it just OSS that's already fully supported, or all of Outpost 32-bit?

Output security is very necessary for our PC. coz if PC has any security any type of virus can't get in PC.
