OSS x64 link installed as 8.0 (4164.639.1856), and not as 8.0 (4164.652.1856).
attend to 652 and 639.
Isn't the 64-bit version updated yet ?

Excellent news! Just bought the Outpost security Suite 3 user lifetime license, even though I have a 3 user firewall license!.

Well worth it, great offer!

Long live Agnitum!

Dear Nima,

639 is a version number of afw driver while 652 is a version number of afwcore driver, both present in Outpost. The program version is the same.

Unfortunately, right at the moment we do not offer this license type.

And what about support for the sandbox?

Agnitum has the best firewall and very high quality pro active protection. I use Security Suite with Agnitum antivirus just to avoid issues with other AV software. Runs extremely light and smooth. However, antivirus protection is mediocre. 2 out of 3 is still pretty good and I'm keeping Outpost even if another product was offered to me for free.

Does agnitum intend to seriously develop it's AV engine to increase virus detection on par with
Avast, DrWeb, Ikarus, Kaspersky etc engines?

Virus buster AV engine has been synonymous with weak for Outpost in recent years. Detection rate from anti-malware tests, or even checking virus-total latest commented virus signatures, agnitum engine is behind on detection compared to top dogs.

Have you been looking for strategic partnership with another AV vendor to help you with signatures?

Dear Agnitum,

I am missing a few new features.

--------
Firewall
--------
1. Application rules -> Network rules -> Ask

Example
I want block all inbound TCP communication with one exception - inbound communication from remote address "A" and I want choose everytime manually Allow once or Block once.

What about theese rules?
Ask Inbound TCP from A for filename.exe
Block Inbound TCP for filename.exe

2. Allow/Block for X minutes.

Example
Firewall is asking again and again but I don´t want allow/block action forever or allow/block it and then delete rule. So I am clicking Allow/Block once again and again. It is very tiring.

What about option Allow/Block this activity for X minutes?

3. Allow/Block/Ask from time X to time Y.

What about scheduler where can I choose day and daytime when the rule should be active?

-----------------
Anti-Leak control
-----------------
1. Inject only concrete component.

Example
An application is attempting to inject its component into another process.

What about rule allowing inject only concrete component rather than all components?

---------------
Groups of rules
---------------
Example
I want create my own group of rules. Set up name of this group and choose rules for everything like in application rules but do not create connection with concrete application. + I want see all groups - my and official. Sometimes applications are not recognized well and with this functionality I could fix it simply in first dialog from firewall.

What about groups of rules?

Do you plan add similar functionalities in future?

Hello. I was pleased to discover your product, facebook page and blog. By the way, why aren't you using the address blog.agnitum.com for the blog, as Google allows it and I think (not sure) will quickly transfer your Page Rank to the new domain? But that's entirely up to you and not my concern.

The main reason I am writing this comment is to ask about your lifetime license. Here you say it's allowing unlimited virus updates and support, however on the site and facebook page it says "unlimited antivirus updates and product upgrades". So, just to be sure: if I buy this license, it will work with all future versions of Outpost Security Suite/Firewall Pro or only allow unlimited virus updates for the current version of Outpost?

Thank you for your time.

Agnitum BLOG said...

Lotus, you are right, this license will work with all future versions of Outpost.

Very good software!Hope to win a license sometimes!

Any plans for a Linux version of Outpost 8.0?
I use Linux Mint, but miss Outpost as firewall.
Linux has some free firewall's, but none do I like.
Some other vendors have AV for linux like Eset & Avast.
Would be great to see development of Agnitium on Linux.
Keep on doing a Great job.
regards,

Duvel
