7.5.2 Release is coming soon!

Dear readers,

The Outpost 7.5.2 Beta program already has hundreds of active beta testers signed up since we announced its availability around a week ago.

Early response is encouraging; here’s how one tester responded:
“Positive impressions:
+2 to robustness – stability increased,
+5 to durability – fixed an issue with self-protection,
+7 to defense – anti-malware module enhancements"
We’re approaching release candidate status for Outpost 7.5.2, and the full release schedule is as follows:
  • Beta test ends January 27,
  • Release candidate to be issued January 30,
  • Final release is scheduled for the February 20.
Now it’s time to list out the full history of changes for the upcoming version, leaving only 2 changes for the next blog post (marked with *) -  regarding automatic anti-malware engine update (they are not applicable to Anti-Spyware engine changes).

10+ consecutive VB100 awards... We are 1 of only 5 vendors to have them in 2012!

Every version we have submitted to Virus Bulletin for Windows testing since the early 2010 has received VB100 certification!

This time, Outpost’s Security's Anti-Malware certified for Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. Now more than 15 out of 45 vendors failed the certification tests due to poor in-the-wild malware detection results and/or false positives in the clean set files, including Symantec and PCTools, Comodo, Emsisoft , Ikarus, QuickHeal, and Webroot.
