Let us refer to the comment about our partner's company product: "VirusBuster Internet Security Suite is a product that is based on the Outpost engine. <...> It finished with 71% score, which means a protection very close to what Outpost Security Suite Pro offers."

On May 15, 2012 we have also published review on Matousec.com results — "Security test reveals users of 64-bit Windows are being left behind". So, generally, picture is the same.

As we have mentioned before, Outpost's score on 64-bit is 86% (version 7.5.2) that out-performs 25 well-known AV vendors certified by VB100 during last year with 86% (top level reached - 11, protection level "Very good").

PS: We keep enhancing our product to release more secure and stable 7.5.3 edition before the middle of the year.

Security test reveals users of 64-bit Windows anti-viruses are being left behind?

The dismal Proactive Security Challenge results turned in by the big AV (Anti-Virus) players in the most recent Matousec.com 64-bit Windows 7 tests are making us wonder whether security companies are really catering to the needs of 64-bit PC/OS users.

Are traditional AV vendors even capable of delivering reliable and robust protection to these users?

Our 64-bit anti-viruses proactive security review includes 4 chapters:
  1. 64-bit OS security landscape
  2. Proactive security test results
  3. Vendors’ interpretations
  4. Agnitum’s view

VB100 April - 11th certification in a row!

Outpost Security Suite Pro 7.5.2's anti-malware was recently certified to detect all WildList and extended WildList malware samples with no false positive detections on Windows XP Professional SP3 (see recent Virus Bulletin's report).

So, we are proud to become one of only 5 vendors (including Avira and Eset) to have all Windows VB100 awards for last 2 years.

Just FYI: 8 out of 52 products failed to get VB100 April 2012 award this time:
  • Filseclab (Twister) - 37 (!) False Positives (FP)
  • Emsisoft Anti-Malware (WildList missed + 1 FP),
  • F-Secure Client Security (WildList missed),
  • Iolo System Shield (WildList missed),
  • Qihoo 360 (WildList missed),
  • Quick Heal Total Security (WildList missed),
  • Sophos Endpoint Sec & Control (WildList missed),
  • Trustport Av 2012 (WildList missed).

And some other regular competitors for Outpost - Comodo, Dr. Web, Panda Security, Symantec (Norton), Trend Micro - haven't entered the test, again.

So, want to be secured from the latest in-the-wild malware? Install Outpost 7.5.2!
